Saktigarh Govt. Spon. P.T.T.I, Unit -II is one of the esteemed teachers’ training colleges of Purba Bardhaman in West Bengal.This institution was established in the year 1958 in the name of JBT. Saktigarh Govt. Spon. P.T.T.I Unit-II was separately formed for the Girls. It is fully funded by Govt. of West Bengal under the affiliation of WBBPE and recognised by the NCTE. The SCERT (W.B) was empowered to organise academic, administrative and infrastructural part of the institution. Now this institute offers two year D.El.Ed course for the trainee teachers. Amidst the exotic natural ambience this institute runs its acadmic activities with mission to enhance the qualitative Saktigarh Government Sponsored PTTI (Unit-II) is one of the renowned government institutes.

I am Sanjib Kundu. On 29th November 2025, I joined this renowned institution—Saktigarh Government Sponsored PTTI, UNIT-II , located in Barsul, Saktigarh, the district of Purba Bardhaman. This is primarily a teacher training Institute for women only, where aspiring teachers are admitted to acquire the necessary qualities and skills for the teaching profession. The institution has a successful track record of more than 66 years, and most of the trainees who have got the Certificate in (D.El.Ed)‘Diploma-in-Elementary Education’ course from here have secured employment through their academic excellence.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who work tirelessly day and night, dedicate themselves to the students, and go above and beyond to meet their needs. The office staff also deserve special mention for their devoted efforts.

This D.El.Ed course is recognized by NCTE and approved by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The program aims to prepare teachers from the primary level onward.
